PHOTOGRAPHS: Film and digital photographs.

THEME: These portraits offer a glimpse of aspiring actors and models in New York City. (Several established performers are also included.) The black-and-white prints are traditional headshots or publicity photos that were created for agents and casting directors. Many of the color photographs, which are freer in form, are styled to present a fashion image. At the end of the series are images of street performers.

TECHNIQUE: Traditional lighting and photographic techniques, usually in a studio setting.
